The Suns’ General Manager Ryan McDonough said that they would be open to trading the number one pick.
McDonough said that they will have a better idea of what they want to do after the workout and interview process as well as the medical physicals. He said that they would be open to trading into a lower spot and that there are a few players that they’d likely consider trading the pick for. It still remains unlikely the Suns trade their pick but they are keeping their options open. McDonough said their biggest need is at the point guard and center. He also added that if they go big with the first pick, they’d likely go with a perimeter player at the 16th spot and vice-versa. It was last reported that a local sports radio host said he was 100 percent sure that they would take DeAndre Ayton first overall.
