Pistons head coach Stan Van Gundy opted to go with Jon Leuer over Tobias Harris in the fourth quarter in Friday’s win over the Clippers.
“Our best defense is with Jon on the floor,” coach Stan Van Gundy said. “That’s our best defensive lineup — the five we went down the stretch with. That’s (for) when you have the lead.” Van Gundy noted that had they been trailing heading into the fourth the lineup may have been different, but since Marcus Morris was playing well they didn’t need the extra offense of Harris. Tobias is still a top-100 guy, but with the Pistons picking up steam we may see them leading going into the fourth more often than not. Both Leuer and Harris are worth rostering in standard leagues with Harris offering more offense than defense and Leuer doing the opposite.
