Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy says that guard Reggie Jackson (knee) will be ready to go for training camp at the end of September.
Van Gundy noted that Jackson has been ramping up his basketball work lately and everything is all good with the doctors. “He’ll be ready,” said SVG. Vincent Ellis of the Detroit Free Press says that he has been suffering from some chronic tendinitis in his left knee but it is starting to clear up. Being cautious with Jackson will be crucial for the Pistons, and they will likely not push him too hard when training camp does roll around. He’d be a risky pick up in any draft, so you’d be better off waiting until the later rounds to snap him up.
