At the inauguration of a brand new practice facility for the Wizards, their owner, Ted Leonsis, said that he wants his team to win 50 games and make the conference finals.

“We have to improve upon last year, but this is a really good team practicing in a world-class building. I think it’s the most complete team and we want to focus on everyone’s health.” The Wizards didn’t really change a lot other than the upgrade to Dwight Howard at the center position. The burden will once again be on Scott Brooks to make the pieces work but in reality the Wizards have never lacked the talent. Injuries and chemistry issues have been the constant distraction and the acquisition of Superman is not exactly a culture change.
