• Terrence Ross may be losing ground to Jonathon Simmons in the battle to start at small forward, with the former scoring just two points on Friday while the latter scored 17 on 8-of-13 from the field.

Ross did add seven rebounds, a steal and a block, but shot just 1-of-6 and didn’t make a triple. He did play 24 minutes to Simmons’ 23, but there’s little denying that the ex-Spur has outplayed him so far this season. Simmons also added four rebounds and two assists tonight to round out a nice game. Ross’ early struggles make him a drop candidate in standard formats, while Simmons simply doesn’t offer enough to be worth a pickup just yet. These two may go back and forth all year.
