Thaddeus Young scored 24 points and grabbed nine rebounds in Saturday’s win over the Blazers.
Young finished the contest shooting 9-of-13 from the field, while also contributing in the defensive categories with three blocks and two steals. The first-year Pacer has been a relative disappointment to begin the season, averaging his lowest points per game (11.4 heading into tonight) since his rookie season. However, Young is still putting up efficient shooting numbers and averaging a healthy minutes total, so perhaps tonight’s outburst gets the 28-year-old back closer to the value owners were thinking before the season.
