The Pelicans are contemplating on shutting down Anthony Davis for the season if he isn't traded at the deadline.
We would like to note that there's nothing certain with this report yet. This was just a conversation between the New Orleans' management regarding how to handle the case of Davis who publicly requested for a trade a few days ago. It seems like a wise move for the Pelicans who are five games out of the last spot in the West with a 23-29 record and have nothing else to play for especially with their star player wanting out. If New Orleans decides to hold Davis at the trade deadline, expect them to listen to offers again by the time summer rolls around for their most valuable asset.
