Tim Frazier is the “safe bet” to start at point guard on opening night according to Brett Dawson of the New Orleans Advocate.
With Jrue Holiday out indefinitely due to his wife being diagnosed with a brain tumor and him having to take care of his family, the point guard position is wide open in New Orleans for opening night. Tyreke Evans (knee) is currently sidelined as well and is likely to miss the season opener. Frazier averaged 13.1 points, 7.5 assists, 4.4 boards, 1.4 steals and 0.8 treys in 29.3 minutes per game for the Pelicans last season and could have some nice fantasy value if he is able to start. This is just speculation and nothing is confirmed but it is looking as though Frazier is the likely starter at the point guard position with most of the teams depth at the shooting guard position.
