The Pelicans will keep Tim Frazier in the starting lineup on Tuesday night, as coach Alvin Gentry likes Frazier alongside Jrue Holiday.
While Frazier won’t be more than a pure assists specialist playing with the Pellies’ starters, this could have a positive effect on everyone else. Jrue Holiday had possibly his first really good game (21-3-7) with both Anthony Davis (28-12) and DeMarcus Cousins (15-11) in the lineup and may be freed up to play that way going forward. Perhaps Frazier’s inclusion in the starting five will spread the wealth with a second facilitator on the court and allow Holiday to work for his own offense rather than creating shots for Fire & Ice. That’s our hypothesis for now, so keep an eye on the Pelicans to see if Frazier can help iron out some of the kinks.
