The Spurs set an NBA record with their 38-0 start at home and beat the Pelicans by the score of 100-92 on Wednesday night in a game that was not as close as the score would suggest.
The Big 4 returned to action and it was a mixed bag for them. Kawhi Leonard was great with 16 points, six rebounds, four assists, three steals, two blocks, one three and 7-of-7 FTs. Tony Parker managed just four points, two boards and six assists, and Tim Duncan went for eight and nine with three blocks in what should be seen as a win for owners. Manu Ginobili got hot with 20 points on 7-of-10 shooting, five treys and three steals in a line you won’t be counting on anytime soon. Danny Green hit four treys and finished with 16 points and two blocks in just 18 minutes, and LaMarcus Aldridge was marginalized to the tune of 11 and six with a steal and a block.
