Trae Young has been named to the All-NBA Summer League Second Team alongside Deandre Ayton, Jaren Jackson Jr., Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk and Wade Baldwin IV.
Young caught a lot of heat for some ugly shots early but wound up averaging 17.0 points, 6.8 assists and 1.5 steals on 38 percent from the field. His efficiency will remain a problem all year long but he's got incredible 3-point ability and is looking like a lock for big minutes. Ayton also looks like he'll get a ton of work and posted 14.5 points and 10.5 boards on 60 percent shooting. They figure to be two of the highest-drafted rookies this year. Jackson showcased his elite defensive potential with 3.8 blocks per contest and has a well-rounded skillset that should make him a popular fantasy target. Mykhailiuk was on fire in last night's semis and will help space the floor on an odd L.A. roster. Baldwin is the lone veteran of the group and dropped 7.7 assists in his Vegas stint for the Blazers. He's unlikely to see a ton of playing time this year even with Shabazz Napier out of the picture.
