• Greg Stiemsma has signed a training camp deal and will be competing for the Blazers last roster spot.

He’s already 30 and probably past his physical prime but is still a reliable shot blocker. This is just a training camp deal so it will be up to him to make the roster already deep with big men. Stiemsma won’t have fantasy value regardless.

Fantasy News

  • Jamal Murray
    PG, Denver Nuggets

Jamal Murray (trunk contusion) is questionable to face the Blazers on Thursday.

Murray was only able to play five minutes in their last contest due to this injury. Monte Morris and Malik Beasley will see additional opportunity if he is forced to miss any time.

  • Markelle Fultz
    PG, Orlando Magic

The Magic announced that Markelle Fultz (illness) will not play on Wednesday and DJ Augustin will start in his place.

Fultz has had his most relevant fantasy season thus far, maintaining per-game value inside the top-150. DJ Augustin should see additional opportunity on Wednesday while Michael Carter-Williams will likely be the backup point guard.

  • Rodney Hood
    SG, Portland Trail Blazers

Rodney Hood had surgery on Wednesday to repair a torn left Achilles that he suffered during Friday's game and remains without a timetable.

A torn Achilles is one of the worst injuries that someone can suffer in basketball. Hood can safely be ruled out for the rest of the season. Kent Bazemore and Anfernee Simons will have more opportunity going forward.

  • Romeo Langford
    SG, Boston Celtics

Romeo Langford (right ankle sprain) is officially available for Wednesday's game against the Pacers.

Langford has been injured for most of the season so far, having played more games with the G league team than with the Celtics. He could see some real opportunity in Wednesday's game with the news that Marcus Smart (eye infection) has been ruled out. Langford makes for an interesting low-cost DFS play. However, there is no guarantee that he will play.

  • Marcus Smart
    PG, Boston Celtics

Marcus Smart has been ruled out with an eye infection ahead of Wednesday's game vs. the Pacers.

With Smart ruled out, there will be more opportunity for Grant Williams, Carsen Edwards and Brad Wanamaker. Romeo Langford could also some opportunity on Wednesday in what has been an injury-riddled first year.

  • Devontae Cacok
    PF, Los Angeles Lakers

According to Shams Charania of the Athletic, the Lakers have signed Devontae Cacok to a contract.

Cacok was with the team for the preseason but ultimately didn't make the final roster. It is highly likely that he is on a two-way contract with the news that the Lakers waived two-way player Zach Norvell to make room for Cacok. Cacok is off the fantasy radar.

  • Zach Norvell
    PG, Free Agent

The Lakers have waived two-way player Zach Norvell on Wednesday.

Norvell was on a two-way contract and only played in 5 minutes of action across two games. He is off the fantasy radar.

  • Alen Smailagic
    PF, Golden State Warriors

The Warriors have recalled Alen Smailagić from their G League affiliate ahead of Wednesday's game vs. the Knicks and there is a chance that he makes his NBA debut in this contest.

The Warriors are high on their 19-year-old rookie out of Serbia who played for their G league roster last season before being drafted in the second round of the 2019 draft. He won't make an impact this season but could be a name to watch as he works on his craft.

  • Wenyen Gabriel
    PF, Sacramento Kings

The Kings have recalled Wenyen Gabriel from Stockton of the G League.

Gabriel last played in the NBA on November 22, scoring five points and blocking a shot in eight minutes. He's mostly depth at this point.

  • Fred VanVleet
    PG, Toronto Raptors

Fred VanVleet (right knee contusion) continues to be considered questionable for Wednesday's game.

VanVleet got injured on Sunday and was unable to play on Monday. Norman Powell scored 17 points in his absence and would presumably start again if needed.
