Tristan Thompson came away with 10 points, nine rebounds, one assist and one turnover in the Cavs' season finale loss to the Knicks on Wednesday night.
Thompson’s name may be trending on Twitter but that’s for non-basketball reasons. When it comes to on-the-court activity, it’s been a low-key year for Tristan. He missed over a month with a calf injury earlier in the season and then sat out part of March with an ankle ailment. When Cleveland was struggling in December, the answer was to take Thompson out of the starting lineup and go smaller. All in all, it was a rather forgettable season for Tristan, averaging 5.7 points, 6.6 rebounds and only 0.3 blocks while playing a career-low 53 games and finishing outside the top-200 in all formats.
