Demarcus Cousins finished with 15 points, three assists, and eight boards while Anthony Davis posted 20 points, 12 boards and two steals in Monday’s 83-88 loss to the Jazz.
Cousins shot 5-of-15 from the field and 1-of-4 from deep and Davis shot 7-of-17 from the field and 5-of-6 from the line. Decent numbers for the big men, but not what we are accustomed to. They were thwarted by a tough Jazz defense. Over the last three games Cousin’s field goal percentage has been down to 38 percent and his TO’s have jumped to 4.7 a game. Davis has seen a slight dip in his field goal percentage as well as declining blocks and boards since Cousins arrived. These changes could be here to stay if the tandem can’t gell quicker. Regardless, they are both still top assets and you’re starting them.
