Tyler Johnson did the heavy lifting in Miami’s 94-109 loss on Saturday, leading the team with 20 points on 9-of-17 shooting to go with three rebounds, one assist, two triples and two steals.
Johnson could be looking at an extended run with the starters now that Dion Waiters has gone down. The return of Goran Dragic cramped his style but the combo guard simply stepped one position over to fill in where he was needed tonight. He’s cruising along with top-100 value over the past two weeks so just check and make sure that Johnson isn’t available on any waiver wires. He has definite short-term appeal and is a player who can stay relevant even in a bench role.
