Tyler Ulis was having a rough go of things before departing Saturday’s win with a finger injury in the closing minutes, shooting 2-of-8 and finishing with four points, three rebounds, one assist and five turnovers in 21 minutes.
Not one to remember for young Ulis. The finger injury is more concerning than the performance here, and we’ll need to wait and see if he has to miss any time going forward. He has definitely won the starting job, however, and as such can be comfortably deployed as a late-round point guard. Keep the faith, even though the Phoenix rotations can be understandably maddening.
