Tyreke Evans (personal) is still away from the Grizzlies and will not play in Wednesday's season finale.
Evans was fantastic this season, and his de facto shutdown down the stretch probably cost him a shot at some postseason love from the awards crowd. He finished with top-100/110 value on the full season despite playing only 52 games. Hip, shoulder and ankle injuries landed him on the injury report but most of the missed time came in the second half of the year. Evans played just six games from February 1st onward, missing time with a rib cartilage injury that initially received a day-to-day diagnosis and then this personal absence. He was a top-45 player on a per-game basis and thrived with the injury-riddled Grizzlies, turning in his best campaign since a great rookie season and shattering his previous career-high (1.5) by hitting 2.2 triples per game. Evans averaged 19.4 points per game while topping 5.0 in terms of both assists and rebounds while adding a combined 1.4 defensive stats. He's going to go down as one of the season's best waiver adds.
