Victor Oladipo played 25 minutes in a win against the Bulls on Monday, finishing with 13 points on 6-of-9 shooting, one 3-pointer, two rebounds, two assists, two steals and one turnover.
Oladipo has been disappointing for his fantasy owners this season as he’s only been a top-100 asset. Much of that is due to his struggles early on in the season when he couldn’t hit shots from the field or the charity stripe, couldn’t rack up steals and basically let Russell Westbrook completely overshadow him for rebounds and assists. He did find a groove eventually and then hurt his wrist. Tonight’s two steals have to be a welcome sight for his owners as he’s averaging only 1.0 on the season. The poor free throw shooting and disappointing steals are almost certainly going to improve so he should soon be back to returning early-round value. The low minutes tonight shouldn’t be an issue going forward as the game was somewhat taken care of later in the fourth. Look for him to get it together against the Grizzlies on Wednesday.
