Vince Carter wrapped up a strong 2016-17 campaign with 12 points, four boards, one assist, one steal and two threes in Thursday’s loss to the Spurs.
Carter has undergone a near-seamless transition from superstar to role player over time, and it’s been a thrill to see him play a big part in a playoff rotation at 40 years of age. He played 32 minutes in this one and was pressed into extra action all series long thanks to the injury to Tony Allen, but he didn’t really look out of place. We’ll see what he can do next season, though it’s unlikely that he’ll be much of a fantasy action.
