After leading the Kings in scoring last season, Zach Randolph is the victim of the team’s youth movement this year, but the Kings want him around in order to mentor the young bigs on the roster.

Following practice on Tuesday, both general manager Vlade Divac and coach Dave Joerger addressed the situation confirming that Z-Bo is highly unlikely to see time on the court anytime soon, if at all this season. “The way we’re playing and how we’re going to play, he just doesn’t fit in that type of style,” Divac said. “We’re so happy that’s he’s part of this team, being a pro and helping with mentorship of the young guys.” The Kings have finally made the right decision pulling the plug on the veteran and the results have been extremely positive so far. Z-Bo could be a buyout candidate at some point later in the season but for now, he shouldn’t be owned in any leagues.
