Coach Steve Kerr said that the starting point guard could change game by game based on matchups.
Ultimately it’s not who starts, but who gets the most minutes that makes a player fantasy relevant, so even if Kerr experiments with different starters it may not affect the final minute totals. Shaun Livingston would be the presumed starter in place of Steph Curry (ankle), but Kerr said it wasn’t a given. Livingston should still see a minutes increase and Andre Iguodala will run the point more, but Patrick McCaw (nose) could be the biggest beneficiary when he returns. It’s a tiny sample size, but the one game McCaw saw big minutes this season he produced 16 points, three boards, seven assists, four steals, one block, two threes on 62 percent from the field. Quinn Cook was also recalled from the G-League and should get decent run.
Kevin Durant and Steve Kerr both made it sound like former Duke guard Quinn Cook could see solid minutes at the point tonight.
