While the Clippers got torn apart by the Mavs on Saturday, Wesley Johnson was at least able to produce seven points, two rebounds, two assists, one steal, one block and one 3-pointer in 28 minutes of action.
Johnson has always been a decent all-around guy for deep league purposes and is definitely on the radar as a starter. He’ll never blow the doors off with a huge line but has the ability to deliver a few cash counters every night. Despite the counting numbers, today wasn’t his finest hour as he shot just 2-of-8 from the floor. Johnson wasn’t the only culprit there, however, as Sam Dekker was 0-of-7 in just 13 minutes off the bench, Jawun Evans was 2-for-9 in 18 minutes and the starting backcourt combined for 8-of-31. L.A. shot 34.9 percent as a team in this one, and things are getting ugly here.
