October 22, 2018, 9:45 pmWilly HernangomezC, Charlotte Hornets
Willy Hernangomez came off the bench for 11 points, five rebounds, an assist, a steal and a 3-pointer on Monday night.
Hernangomez also shot 4-of-6 in 18 minutes and put up a better line than Cody Zeller (four points, two boards, one assist, one steal in 21 minutes). The youngster is still the clear backup and the blowout nature of the game certainly helped him keep the playing time battle close but still makes for a nice stash if you can afford to be patient. Bismack Biyombo was able to come off the bench and put up four points, three boards and a block in nine minutes.

Williams had an underwhelming preseason and he missed some action due to a concussion, so his role is unclear going forward. The Celtics will need big bodies to defend Joel Embiid so it’s likely that he sees some action tonight but it’s hard to trust him in fantasy for now.

October 23, 2019, 9:21 amLonzo BallPG, New Orleans Pelicans
The Pelicans will exercise the fourth-year options on newcomers Lonzo Ball and Josh Hart, according to Andrew Lopez of ESPN.
Both players are entering their third season and were obtained by the Pelicans from the Lakers as part of the Anthony Davis trade. Ball started last night next to Jrue Holiday while Josh Hart was impressive coming off the bench. The Pelicans clearly view both guys as integral pieces in their rebuilding plan and picking up their option is a mere formality.

October 23, 2019, 3:10 amLou WilliamsSG, Los Angeles Clippers
Lou Williams efficiently provided 21 points (8-for-14 FGs, 4-for-4 FTs) along with five rebounds, seven assists, a steal and a three in 37 minutes off the bench in a win over the Lakers on Tuesday.
Williams has averaged over 30 minutes per game in a season just once in his career. That season (2017-18) he ranked 34th/44th (8-cat/9-cat) because the team needed his offense. There's a decent chance that Williams can at least get close to that mark for the period of time that Paul George is out. The starting backcourt of Patrick Beverley and Landry Shamet was less impressive as Beverley had little besides 10 rebounds and six assists and while Shamet hit two treys, he wasn't anything more than a threes streamer overall.
October 23, 2019, 2:58 amMontrezl HarrellPF, Los Angeles Clippers
Montrezl Harrell played 38 minutes off the bench against the Lakers on Tuesday, and he turned that into 17 points (7-for-11 FGs, 3-for-8 FTs), seven rebounds, four assists, a steal and a block.
It's a strong start to Harrell's season, as he appears ready for another year of great field goal percentage and good points, boards and blocks with scary free throw numbers. Ivica Zubac started, but just played the other 10 minutes at center in this one. It's possible that this allotment of minutes was mostly based on the matchup, but Zubac owners should have their eyes on his role in the next game.
October 23, 2019, 2:47 amKawhi LeonardSF, Los Angeles Clippers
Kawhi Leonard led the Clippers to a 112-102 victory over the Lakers on Tuesday by posting 30 points (10-of-19 FGs, 9-of-10 FTs), six rebounds, five assists, two steals, one block and one 3-pointer in 32 minutes.
It appears that the NBA Finals MVP is still good. There had been some concern that the injuries that hobbled Leonard in the playoffs were still lingering, but he looks like he's ready to carry a new team into championship contention already. We all know the story with Leonard. If he plays over 70 games, he'll almost certainly have been a steal in fantasy drafts.
October 23, 2019, 2:40 amMaurice HarklessSF, Los Angeles Clippers
Maurice Harkless put up cash counters galore off the bench in a victory over the Lakers on Tuesday, going for four steals, two blocks and two threes to supplement his 10 points (4-for-7 FGs) and four boards in 29 minutes.
Patrick Patterson got the spot start and provided just four points, three rebounds and a trey in 17 minutes. Harkless could see the majority of starts while Paul George is out, though, so see if he's available in your league. Harkless can put up sneaky-good stats given enough minutes.
