• The Hornets are unlikely to bring back general manager Rich Cho on a new contract next season, while they are expected to pursue former Lakers’ GM Mitch Kupchak, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

The Hornets are going to miss the playoffs this year unless a miracle happens and the team is looking at a major reconstruction in their front office. The youth movement could be in play next year although the team is loaded with veterans with not so friendly contracts. Jeremy Lamb, Malik Monk and Willy Hernangomez look like the key components of the Hornets’ future nucleus but it’s anyone’s guess what direction will the team follow next year.

Update: The Hornets officially announced today that they will not extend the contract of General Manager Rich Cho and will begin a search for a new general manager immediately.
