The Lakers are in advanced talks with the Thunder to trade Danny Green and the 28th pick in the 2020 draft for Dennis Schroder according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Ever since last season ended, Schroder has been an oft named player that was likely to wind up on a different team for the 20-21 season. It now appears that the Lakers are the front runners for his services, and based on the timing of this report, which comes off the heels of the NBA announcing the lifting of their trade moratorium in 24 hours, it appears likely that this deal will go through. On the Lakers, Schroder would project to play a large bench role as a lead ball handler who can also share the floor with LeBron for stretches as a lead scoring guard.
