According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the Pacers could use their $20M-plus in cap room to make on offer to restricted free agent Aaron Gordon.
The Magic have said that they will be matching any offer sheet that Gordon signs, so this could end up being moot anyways. The Pacers would need Thaddeus Young to opt out of his player option in order to get the cap room necessary, but Young has yet to decide. If Young opts out, in an effort to get more guaranteed money, Gordon fits in perfectly with what the Pacers would need. Gordon has not hit his potential ceiling yet, but the Pacers would be a good fit both ways. However, it is still most likely that the Magic match Gordon's offer sheet and retain him.
