Per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, The Sixers have offered Ben Simmons a five-year, $168 million max extension.
The report adds that the Sixers and Simmons’ agent Rich Paul are expected to work out the details shortly. It was reported on Sunday that the Sixers were approaching Simmons with a contract extension and they wasted no time in attempting to lock down their All-Star guard/forward for the foreseeable future. Simmons is a stat-stuffer who will likely go off the board in the first 20 picks. Simmons can elevate himself into the game’s elite if he can develop a consistent shot outside of the paint.
