ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting that the Spurs are unlikely to be eager to deal Kawhi Leonard to the Lakers.
The Lakers have a handful of interesting young players but Woj notes that the Celtics may be more likely to part with their young talent. It would also have the added benefit of not gifting Leonard to L.A., as they're fully expected to chase other superstars and could quickly become a conference powerhouse if their plans come to fruition. The fact that the Spurs are hesitant to deal with L.A. also makes sense from a leverage perspective as the Lakers probably won't feel compelled to mortgage the future if they feel Kawhi is likely to sign with them next summer as a free agent. A more desperate team should offer up a better package. They remain the favorites for now but it sounds like any deal will be completed with reluctance from the San Antonio side.
