The Thunder have rescinded their qualifying offer to Dion Waiters, making him a free agent.
OKC still holds the Bird rights to Waiters, so they can still re-sign him. It is likely that the Thunder needed to move cap space around for a possible restructuring of a deal for Russell Westbrook. Waiters becomes an intriguing option to teams hungry for a wing player.
