The Wolves are planning to open a search for a new President of Basketball Operations, with owner Glen Taylor preferring to keep general manager Scott Layden and interim coach Ryan Saunders as part of a revised organizational structure, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.

Layden survived the purge of Tom Thibodeau in early January and has previous experience as a GM with the Jazz and the Knicks. Saunders, 32, is the youngest head coach in the league, but he has earned the endorsement of franchise star Karl-Anthony Towns and is expected to get an extension this summer.
