As the Wolves are weighing their options after Jimmy Butler’s injury, they could sign a free agent soon.
The Wolves have kept a roster spot open all season and now could counter Jimmy Butler’s absence by signing a free agent such as Derrick Rose, Tony Allen or Randy Foye. The team will keep an eye on the waiver wire for any players bought out of their contracts by Thursday as players waived by then are eligible to be included on another team’s playoff roster. They could also recall rookie center Justin Patton or two-way contract players Anthony Brown and Amile Jefferson. Nemanja Bjelica has been receiving the majority of minutes since Butler went down and is someone owners should consider as long as he is able to keep the starting job. He had 12 points, seven rebounds, four steals and two 3-pointers last night in 33 minutes of action.
