Zach LaVine returned to action on Wednesday after missing five games with a sprained ankle and did not skip a beat as he dropped a team-high 28 points on 10-of-17 shooting with one rebound, two assists and three triples.
The first thing he did before the game began was to run over and hug Tom Thibodeau. He also celebrated with an impressive outing. It's just too bad he didn't remember his former coach's emphasis on defense in this one. That said, he was the lone bright spot for his team on offense with the rest of the Bulls struggling to find some synchronicity. Kris Dunn had nine points, eight rebounds, seven assists, and two steals in 30 minutes.
