Zach LaVine had things working during his 24-minute stint on Monday, posting 19 points, five rebounds, two assists and a 3-pointer on 7-of-15 shooting.
It’s a shame that LaVine was still dealing with his workload restrictions tonight, as there were ample opportunities for major production. Eight players saw more than 40 minutes in this one and he could’ve had a massive night. That’s wishful thinking, however, and the Bulls are going to keep things nice and easy with their shooting guard of the future until he keeps clearing all the team’s benchmarks for recovery. Denzel Valentine picked up extra minutes in his stead, with eight points, five assists, two steals, two triples and a block in 38 minutes. He’s much more of a deep league guy and won’t be able to rely on that kind of workload going forward.
