DeAndre Jordan has agreed to a four-year, $40 million deal with the Nets.
Brooklyn got commitments from Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant and DeAndre Jordan tonight, making them the clear winners of free agency (on paper). This deal will take Jordan through age-34, and he'll likely split the center minutes with Jarrett Allen. It's going to hurt the fantasy prospects of both players but the Nets will no longer be overmatched against big-bodied centers and have someone who can tilt the rebounding scales in their favor. Both Irving and Durant are reportedly taking small paycuts to get Jordan his $10 million annually, which is a nice start in terms of team-building. Michael Scotto of The Athletic is reporting that the deal is fully guaranteed, so there are no options at play.
