Restricted free agent Langston Galloway received a qualifying offer from the Knicks, while Cleanthony Early did not and he will now be an unrestricted free agent.
Early just hasn’t panned out and getting shot outside a strip club didn’t help his perceived value around the league, though that’s not going to sway anybody’s decision to take a flier on him. We’ll probably see him get another shot in the NBA and maybe even back with the Knicks. Galloway could see an offer from another team since the point guard market is light and he could be viewed as a young, affordable asset to chase. Still, there are other low-end options that are comparable so teams might decide it’s not worth the trouble to go after the RFA.
