• Italian league champ Reyer Venezia officially released Julyan Stone on Monday, giving Stone the green light to sign a deal with the Hornets.

Stone has bounced around the NBA and Europe, playing for the Nuggets and Raptors over the course of 47 career NBA-games. He averaged an 7.9 points 6.0 rebounds, 8.6 assists, 1.4 steals, 0.9 blocks and 1.1 triples for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants last season, showing he is capable of playing at the next level. Stone is in line to start the season as the third-string point-guard for the Hornets behind Kemba Walker and Michael Carter-Williams, so he can be ignored in most formats.
