The New York Post reports that the Knicks are interested in several free agent shooting guards, with Kent Bazemore leading the pack.
The Post goes on to note: “Bazemore is high on the Knicks’ list for a shooting guard, but they know resources aren’t unlimited if they want to sign their own free agents to pacts that will allow them to go over the salary cap.” Given the addition of Derrick Rose’s contract and the loss of Robin Lopez, the organization will have to get creative to fill the holes in their roster. New York is also considering Bradley Beal, Courtney Lee and Kevin Martin, but Bazemore remains their first choice. For what it’s worth, the Knicks may be more willing to invest resources in the center spot than shooting guard.
Hornacek says center probably bigger priority than shooting guard in free agency. Have enough scorers. #Knicks
