Mason Plumlee and the Pistons have agreed to a three-year, $25 million deal per Adrian Wojnarowski.
The Pistons' roster is fairly empty at the moment and this makes it look like Plumlee will be starting (Dewayne Dedmon is reportedly a candidate to be traded again). It also signals that re-signing Christian Wood is unlikely, but we can leave that story for another day. Multiple Pistons beat writers have already pushed back on the notion that this takes Detroit out of the running for Wood. Plumlee was previously a fantasy asset as a starter in Portland, where he had enough minutes to pick up rebounds, blocks and out-of-position assists that could outweigh his horrid free throw numbers. He could get back on the map this year if the playing time is there, which is a definite possibility with the rebuilding Pistons.
