The Mavs and Grizzlies have agreed to a sign-and-trade for Delon Wright, with Memphis receiving two second-round picks per Adrian Wojnarowski.
Wright has agreed to a three-year deal worth $29 million. It's been rumored that the Mavs would submit an offer sheet but this arrangement gives them far more certainty than waiting for the Grizzlies to make a decision on matching. Wright is headed for a sizable role on a Mavs team that doesn't have a ton of guard depth, and there's a chance he can start at point guard. His length and versatility are certainly attractive and Wright is very much in play as a pick in standard-league drafts. He was able to post top-50 numbers down the stretch in Memphis and should be able to threaten top-100 value with 25 mpg or more.
