Mitch Lawrence has stated that the Wolves will be targeting a list of point guards in free agency, which include Kyle Lowry, Jrue Holiday, Jeff Teague and George Hill.
Strap in your seat belts folks, because it seems like the Wolves are not done yet. They traded for Jimmy Butler on Thursday and are looking to make another blockbuster move, this time at the point guard position. The list provided appears to be in order of preference for the Wolves, who will begin free agency trying to sign coveted all-star guard, Kyle Lowry. It looks like they are turning away from pass-first PG Ricky Rubio, and hoping to sign a floor general who will be able to shoot and space the floor better than the Spaniard. This is interesting considering the high volume scorers already on the Wolves roster, such as Andrew Wiggins, Karl-Anthony Towns and the recently added Jimmy Butler. Stay tuned for the latest when free agency begins on the 1st of July.
