Joel Embiid told reporters he thinks he will play 16 minutes on opening night, but wants to play more.
Embiid says his prediction is based on his preseason minutes limit, but wants to play more. “My body feels great and my knee is fine, I should play 30 minutes or more. I definitely have my opinion on that.” 16 minutes is pretty disappointing to hear for Embiid owners, but that number should continue to rise as the season progresses barring setbacks. Even in just 16 minutes his stats will still be pretty useful, so keep him in your lineups. Jahlil Okafor should see a boost opening night and Dario Saric could see a few more minutes as well.
