Karl-Anthony Towns wrapped up his monstrous sophomore season with 28 points and 21 boards against the Rockets on Wednesday.
He added three assists, one steal and three 3-pointers while shooting an eye-popping 12-of-17 from the floor. After a relatively slow start, Towns rampaged through the league as fantasy’s best player over the second half of the season. He’ll finish as the sixth best player in standard leagues behind averages of 25.1 points, 1.2 treys, 12.2 boards, 2.7 assists, 0.7 steals and 1.3 blocks per contest. More impressively, he shot 54.2% from the floor and 83.2% from the line despite a significant uptick in his usage rate. Towns still has not missed a game in his NBA career and is looking like a legitimate candidate to be taken first overall in drafts next fall.
