Paul Millsap scored 16 points on 4-of-8 shooting (1-of-2 3PTs, 7-of-8 FTs) with 11 rebounds, one steal and one block in Wednesday’s Game 2 loss to the Cavs.
The box score didn’t get hit nearly as hard as the Hawks got hit by the Cavs tonight, though there were some casualties. Kent Bazemore scored five points on 1-of-7 shooting with one rebound and one assist, and popular punt play Dennis Schroder managed just five points, one board and two assists in his 14 minutes.
Kyle Korver scored seven points with not much more in his 20 minutes, and if he’s not going to produce the Hawks may want to shake things up at his position. Jeff Teague (14 points, three rebounds, six assists) held up and Al Horford (10 points, three boards, one block) was a big disappointment. The Hawks have their backs against the wall heading back to Atlanta.
