The Bulls have chosen forward Jordan Bell out of Oregon with the 38th selection in the draft and will trade him to the Warriors.
The 2017 PAC-10 Defensive Player of the Year will head to Golden State by way of Chicago. Bell projects as a forward / center type but his offensive limitations will likely keep him at the five. Though he’s only 6’9″ he owns tremendous athleticism and a serious motor that allows him to compete with much bigger and stronger players down in the paint. Bell averaged 8.8 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 2.2 blocks for the Ducks as a junior and his hyperactivity on defense should carry over, even if he’ll be getting minimal minutes for the Dubs. They paid $3.5 million to get him and he should be an excellent long-term fit as another versatile frontcourt guy.
