Serbia small forward Rade Zagorac was drafted with the 35th pick in the 2016 NBA Draft by the Grizzlies.
Zagorac has nice skills for a 6’9/205 wing that played for the same Mega Leks squad that has produced Nikola Jokic and Timothe Luwawu, but he has defensive issues and lateral quickness issues that will show up immediately at the NBA level. Still, for an increasingly shallow Grizzlies squad and knowing that this draft is as slippery as any draft we’ve seen in years — we’re not writing him off as a Dynasty asset or a waiver wire pickup during the season. We’ll get a much better feel during the preseason how much grip he’ll have in the NBA.
