The Hornets will host their seventh draft workout on Sunday with several potential draft picks, including Luke Kennard, Justin Jackson and Bam Adebayo.
The Hornets own the 11th pick of the NBA draft and could take Kentucky’s Adebayo, North Carolina’s Jackson or Duke’s Kennard with that pick. Adebayo is a center who averaged 13.0 points and 8.0 rebounds in his freshman year. Jackson is a small forward who averaged 18.4 points and 2.6 triples in his junior year and on his way to the NCAA title. Kennard is a shooting guard who averaged 19.5 points and 2.4 triples as a sophomore, and is widely regarded as one of the best shooters in the draft. Needless to say, there is a wide range of players the Hornets have opted to tryout and all three of these players are expected to land in the top-20 on draft day. The Hornets currently have good depth at all positions, but may want to improve on their outside shooting and scoring behind Kemba Walker. They will also invite Rodney Purvis, Tim Kempton Jr, and Troy Caupain to workout with them.
