The Kings selected combo guard Isaiah Cousins with the No. 59 pick of the 2016 NBA Draft.
Cousins played next to Buddy Hield and though he has good size for a point guard in the NBA he doesn’t shoot or dribble at a high level, and he won’t be asked to make plays in the way he was deployed for Oklahoma. He will have to work on being a solid system player that gets his offense when the moment is right, and he’ll have to build off the gritty defense he played in college at the pro level where he’ll be physically tested. The Kings have all sorts of point guard issues and he probably needs the Kings to get off the Rajon Rondo kick in order to make the roster.
