Stefan Bondy of the Daily News has reported that the Knicks have been the team with the most interest in Frank Ntilikina.
Where the Knicks go with the No. 8 pick has been a mystery but Bondy’s report has shed some light on their direction. Adding to the mystery, Ntilikina hasn’t been able to work out for any teams because he’s still playing. The 18-year-old will be headed to New York today to take a physical and then head back for his next game in the French League Finals. The Mavs are another team that has shown interest in Ntilikina and they own the pick right after New York. It is reported that the Knicks have shown the most interest of any team. Ntilikina has expressed interest in playing with the Knicks and young star Kristaps Porzingis because they both “learned the European way.” Ntilikina would fit right into Phil Jackson’s plan of getting younger and with the expected departure of Derrick Rose point guard is a position of need.
