Serbian point guard Ognjen Jaramaz goes to the Knicks at No 58.
The Knicks get their second foreign point guard in the draft and both are taller than the average point guard, with Frank Ntilikina standing 6’5” and Jaramaz just an inch shorter. Jaramaz has the size, speed and explosiveness to attack the basket but converting on drives and jumpers is something he’ll need to improve on in addition to working on his handle. The European guard does come from a club that has produced some solid young NBA talent including Nikola Jokic, Ivica Zubac, Timothy Luwawu-Cabarrot and Denver’s 49th pick, Vlatko Cancar. However, even if Derrick Rose does not end up back with the Knicks, Jaramaz is still likely looking at garbage time minutes if he makes the roster.
