• Maryland small forward Jake Layman was picked by the Magic with the 47th pick in the 2016 NBA Draft and traded to the Blazers.

Layman has some sleeper appeal as an energy combo forward off the bench and the big determinant of his ability to stick in the league will be if he can develop any sort of dribble drive game.  He can shoot a little and he can defend, with some nice athleticism to boot.  Because he has been a passive player he might be more useful in the NBA than he was as a four-year player for the Terrapins.
